Just watched Dr. Oz with Oprah promoting Calorie Restriction Diet as a way to prolong life. I'm not so much into Oprah and all... was just channel hopping when Dr. Oz was on TV all hyped up about Calorie Restriction Diet's health benefits.
Benefits of Calorie Restriction
Calorie Restriction Diet otherwise known as Longevity diet claims to have positive effects on the human body. They say it is so effective that by lowering your calorie intake, you are in effect increasing your lifespan!
According to Dr. Oz, Calorie Restriction Diet makes your body turn to the sirtuin pathway. It simply means that as a natural response to your low calorie diet, your body tends to become very efficient in energy use. Hence, when your body is running at 100% efficiency, it tends to become stronger and more alert. When you are healthy, you live longer!
I think this is very logical and Darwinian Theory would validate this claim.
Another benefit of Restricted Calorie Diet is that your body is exposed to lesser toxins from unhealthy food intake. As calorie restriction recipes tend to utilize extremely healthy and the right combination of foods, your body is spared from the toxins that are so common among 21st Century foodstuffs.
Calorie Restriction Diet side-effects
A word of caution though, you must first consider talking with your doctor before engaging in Calorie Restriction Plans. You must see to it that you take the right kinds of food at the right amount to reap the full benefits of restriction in calorie intake.
Some negative effects of Calorie Restriction Diet include:
*starvation. duh...
*malnutrition. this happens when you lack the right kinds of nutrients and minerals.
*hypoglycemia. insufficient sugar levels in order to function properly.
Conclusion
When done properly, Calorie Restriction Diet Plans will greatly increase longevity. One really needs to consult highly trained professionals to avoid the negative effects of Restriction of Calorie intake.

As the Philippines again prepares for another powerful storm Santi, the philippine blogosphere is frantically blogging about typhoon Santi (international codename: marinae). Now, I would like to present my ideas why blogging about Typhoon Santi is not a very good idea if you want to make money from it online.
Here are 5 reasons why blogging about typhoon santi is not a very good idea:
1. Event is short lived.
Basically, if you are blogging about typhoon santi, you are covering a news event. And like all news events, they are short lived. I bet the buzz about typhoon santi would last for about 3 weeks max (1 week for the pre-landfall news, 1 week during the onslaught and another week for the aftermath).
If you are really serious about making money online, try targetting keywords that have a long lifespan. This way, your income stream (from adsense) would also last longer. Gets?
2. The Keyword "Typhoon Santi" is local.
If you target the keyword typhoon Santi, chances are, majority (90%) of your target audience would be coming from the Philippines. The other 10% would be the pinoy expats who would like to know what's happening to their relatives here in the Philippines.
I have found out, that it is better to target keywords that have an international appeal. So, in this blog post, I made sure that I mentioned the keyword "marinea" as it is the international codename for typhoon Santi. International reach would mean greater search engine traffic.
3. Typhoon Santi keyword has no advertisers.
If you are using google adsense as your major income generator, it would be noteworthy to mention that the keyword Typhoon Santi has close to zero advertisers. You might get advertisements for the keyword "Santi" (TAVERNA SANTI) but that's not what we are after are we?
4. "Typhoon Santi" has a very low cost per click.
Since there are close to zero advertisers, then it follows that the cost per click would also be very low. Even if we target the keywords TYPHOON and SANTI separately, here are their CPC's:
Santi: $0.29 - $0.64
Typhoon: $0.36 - $0.86
For me, a good keyword CPC is at least $1! The keyword Mesothelioma has a CPC of $1.71 - $28.48!!! nuff said.
5. Blogging about typhoons is not a good thing to do.
If you believe in the law of attraction, what you constantly carry in your consciousness will eventually find its way into reality. Hence, blogging about typhoon santi is not a very good thing to do.
Conclusion:
If you really want to make money from your blog, try other keywords. Say for example "Stock Qoutes". Let's just leave typhoon santi alone, OK?
